Our office provides assistance to the A&S community with grant and contract proposals submission.  Proposals are routed from the department chair to our office for Dean’s approval on the eGC1 (UW’s internal approval process).  Proposals are then submitted to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) for final institutional review.  We distribute research funding opportunity announcements and serve as the liaison to the Office of Research for proposals which allow limited UW submissions.  We coordinate matching and cost-sharing issues for sponsored research proposals.  RCR (Research Cost Recovery) issues are handled here, as well as oversight of RCR budgets (75-04xx).
