Who Were the 'First Americans'?
AIS 102C
Instructor: Tom Colonnese, American Indian Studies
It has long been a standing question: What are the best explanations for theories about "the peopling of the Americas?" How did people reach North and South America and who were these people/ How long ago did they come to the western hemisphere? What do native Americans say about their origins? New discoveries and new scientific methods allow for facinating answers to these questions. In our small, seminar class we will explore the most recent discoveries and theories.
This course can be used toward completion of the Individuals and Societies (I&S) requirement.
