As senior associate dean for research and infrastructure, Steve Majeski leads three teams in the Dean’s Office: Grants and Contracts, Computer Technology, and Facilities. Aside from making sure all grants and contracts move through the College to the Office of Sponsored Programs, he stewards the College RCR funds to support startups and retentions, matching grants, and large infrastructure and remodeling projects.

The Computer IT team Majeski leads provides technical support for the Dean’s Office and more than two dozen academic units and develops policy on data security, data privacy, and technology acquisition. He is also responsible for the 40 buildings that College units occupy, including space allocation, remodeling projects, safety, and major capital projects.

A professor of political science, Majeski has served as associate dean for research administration and infrastructure since 2010 and previously chaired the Department of Political Science from 2000 to 2009. His research interests include international conflict and cooperation, U.S. foreign policy, computational modeling, and experimental group decision-making.  He frequently comments for the local media regarding US foreign policy issues.
