The Department of Geography focuses on the importance of space, environment, context, location, place, and scale in relation to some of our society’s most pressing concerns. Geographers consider how these concerns are mapped, represented, and understood in a changing world, and offer theoretically informed and empirically based responses to these problems. Geography faculty and students are involved in a wide cross-section of community-based projects, issues, and educational partnerships, with over 50 community partners in the public and private sectors.

Degrees Offered: Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, PhD, Geography; Master of GIS.
