Find your people

The University of Washington is a big place. But taking the time to form relationships with your fellow Huskies will make the campus feel a lot smaller. From musical groups to student organizations to public lectures and arts events, you’ll find people just like you when you dive into the UW community.

Some of my favorite personal experiences include cheering on our Husky football team, enjoying picnics in the quad with friends , studying outside on sunny days or, on those rainy days, studying in the beautiful libraries. I’m also actively involved with RSOs — registered student organizations — which is our way of referring to student clubs.

Meet your neighbors

Seattle is a vibrant city with diverse neighborhoods full of opportunities. Take an urban hike, cheer on the home team on game day, try new cuisines, explore the city’s iconic landmarks, or volunteer for a local nonprofit. When you get involved in the local community, the city will become your home.
