"Sports and Global Affairs," offered by the Jackson School of International Studies, highlights soccer's impact beyond the field, in areas ranging from economics to nationalism to human rights.

"Mathematics and Democracy," offered by the Department of Mathematics, explores the role of math in many aspects of democracy, from elections to proportional representation.

A Concert Course Reimagined
Concert attendance is a key component of "The Concert Season," a School of Music course. The course is designed to familiarize students with jazz and classical music performances.

A Different Take on Race
"Race and Identity in Antiquity," a Department of Classics course, looks at conceptions of race in antiquity and how ancient racial categories put the arbitrariness of race as we know it into relief.

Cool Courses Every Quarter
The College curates a new list of cool undergraduate courses each quarter to encourage exploration. All courses in the list have no prerequisites and fulfill at least one of the University's Areas of Inquiry requirements. Take a look and try something new!
One of the many benefits of going to a large school is the number and diversity of courses offered. I would advise students to really explore what’s offered and not be too focused on filling certain requirements. There are some amazing courses and you may find something you really love.
