On September 29, 2025, Dean Dianne Harris was joined by President Robert J. Jones to welcome the Arts & Sciences community back to campus. Divisional Deans Gabriel Solis, Brian Reed, Daniel Pollack and Andrea Woody also provided select updates from their divisions. 

The event included the announcement of the Katherine and John Simpson Endowed Deanship in the College of Arts & Sciences. This incredibly generous endowment will strengthen the College in areas of strategic need and interdisciplinary teaching and research.
