    For more than 50 years, the UW Awards of Excellence have celebrated outstanding faculty, staff, students and alumni whose achievements exemplify the University’s mission.     Grace Funsten (Classics PhD candidate) and Adriana Vazquez (who received her PhD in classics in 2017) have won the 2021-22 Rome Prize, a year-long residential fellowship at the American Academy in Rome.
